You will be an Aircraft Mechanic at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Greenville, SC.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
• Perform C‑130J aircraft systems operation and maintenance, including landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging, and aircraft movement.
• Read and speak English; comprehend safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Carry out additional mission‑essential functions and other duties as assigned.
• Provide a shadowed toolbox with etched tools per company‑specified minimum inventory.
• Perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hand to grasp, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms while working on aircraft.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or inside the aircraft; occasionally sit, climb, and balance.
• Frequent lifting or pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain proper vision abilities: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed; regularly expose to vibration.
• Handle moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles; properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals per government regulations.
• Work in wet, humid, high, precarious places, and under outside weather conditions with risk of electrical shock.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and FOD‑free work area.
• Undergo pre‑employment drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines.
• Work odd or multiple shifts within the same week.
• Travel on short notice and be away for varied durations as required.
• Work onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Adopt flexible work schedules from onsite to remote, supporting a comprehensive benefits package.

• Experience in Flight Line Operations, Isochronal/Phase Inspections, and Depot Level Maintenance on C‑130J aircraft.
• Experience with servicing, pre‑flight, launch, and recovery (post‑flight inspection) of aircraft.
• Experience with aircraft logbooks, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and Time Compliance Technical Orders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
• Proficiency with USAF Technical Orders, the Data Transfer and Diagnostic System (DTADS), AFTO 781 documentation, and entering data into the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
• Ability to identify aircraft locations by station, butt‑line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
• C‑130J engine run qualifications or ability to achieve C‑130 engine run qualifications.
• Willingness to be trained and/or certified in special skills.
