Hours
: 40 hours per week, with options for up to 10 hours extra for emergent projects/needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in computer aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience with computer aided
• Use drafting applications to originate and produce drawings with minimum supervision
• 3D modeling experience required (S3D preferred)
• Read, interpret and generate design drawings with minimal input from a member of the engineering staff.
• Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate minor design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct junior drafters
• Education / Experience Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have a minimum of an associate degree in a field related to the position and a minimum of 10 years progressive experience in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred)
• Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design
• Background and experience must include drafting/designer experience in engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection or civil

Physical Requirements: The candidate might periodically be required to travel to sites, requiring the ability to travel by vehicle to the site and complete walkdowns. Walkdowns may necessitate walking, standing, and navigating industrial terrain, and will require some occasional climbing, crouching, and the ability to lift up to 50lb and wear PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, etc. The candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Clarity of vision for use of computers and reading drawings/designs is also required.
