We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Medical Oncology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized medical care to patients diagnosed with cancer. Responsibilities- Diagnose and stage different types of cancer in patients.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans for cancer patients.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments as part of patient care.
- Monitor and manage the side effects of cancer treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
- Participate in clinical trials and research studies related to oncology.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in medical oncology.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cancer treatment and management.
- Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Medical Oncology.
- Board certification in Medical Oncology.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating various types of cancer.
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts
No call requirement
Setting:
Inpatient and outpatient
Daily Census: 20 inpatients, 25 outpatients
Patient Population:
Adult and geriatric
Case Split: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
Required Duties:
Tumor board participation, bone marrow transplant management, blood bank, ordering tests and images, and prescribing medication
Team Structure: 7 MDs, 6 APPs
EMR:
Epic
Must be board-certified
