We are looking for an experienced and well‑rounded Senior Superintendent to join our team in Upstate South Carolina. A local candidate is preferred, but we will consider relocation for the right applicant.
This permanent position will require frequent travel between multiple job sites located throughout the Upstate.
Responsibilities- Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities
- Work with superintendents to plan, organize, and direct activities related to construction projects
- Assist with estimating potential projects
- Implement project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
- Proactively develop relationships with the subcontractor community
- Manage and obtain necessary permits for each project
- Process change orders
- Draft and submit subcontractor contracts for each project
- Promote health and safety standards on the work site
- Ensure that the project meets all legal requirements
- Minimum six years of experience in construction management or related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail‑oriented
- Learns quickly and takes initiative
- Degree in Construction Science or related field is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
