What you’ll do- Examine sewer and water systems, reviewing building codes, local ordinances, and zoning laws.
- Approve blueprints and monitor construction sites for quality control.
- Perform initial checks during the first phase of construction and follow‑up inspections throughout the project, providing written or oral feedback.
- Conduct a final comprehensive inspection when the project is finished.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management or related technical field preferred. - Valid Driver’s License.
- A minimum of 5 years of related construction observation experience.
- Good knowledge of the construction industry.
- Ability to comprehend construction and contract documents.
- Understands and follows company standards, demonstrates knowledge of construction techniques, and can complete most duties required on complex projects.
- Ability to understand and interpret client’s contracts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong mathematics skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good knowledge of the company’s standards and core values.
- Willingness to aid and teach entry‑level staff.
- Extensive travel may be required.
- PAPC, SEPSCI certifications preferred.
$33.65 - $40.14 per hour. Salary is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
