Title: Director of Growth / Business Development
Position: Full-Time / Salary / On-Site Position
Based at: TCR - Bonaventure
Position Summary: The Director of Growth is responsible for driving sustainable pipeline growth through strategic oversight of CRO and sponsor relationships, activation of affiliate referral partners, and aligned marketing execution. This role owns the pipeline revenue goal and affiliate referral performance
, ensuring consistent inbound and outbound opportunities that convert into qualified studies and patients.
This is a senior leadership role focused on execution, accountability, and conversion
, not study award negotiations. The Director of Growth translates organizational strategy into measurable growth outcomes and leads teams to deliver against defined targets.
Key Skills and
Competencies:
- 8+ years of experience in business development, growth, or commercial leadership (clinical research or healthcare preferred)
- Proven experience owning and delivering against revenue or pipeline targets
- Experience managing and developing managers
- Strong understanding of CRO, sponsor, and affiliate partnership dynamics
- Ability to translate strategy into executable plans with clear metrics
- Data‑driven decision‑maker with strong forecasting and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Primary Accountabilities:
- Lead, Manage, Accountable
- CRO & Sponsor Relationship Oversight
- Affiliate Partnership & Referral Ownership
- Cross‑functional Leadership
General Accountabilities:
- Establish clear pipeline definitions, stages, and leading indicators in partnership with Operations and Finance.
- Monitor pipeline health, velocity, and conversion trends; course‑correct as needed.
- Provide regular pipeline forecasting and performance reporting to leadership.
- Lead and develop the Manager, CROs & Sponsor ships.
- Ensure proactive engagement with CROs and sponsors to maintain strong visibility into upcoming opportunities.
- Oversee sponsorship strategies, ensuring alignment with pipeline priorities.
- Evaluate relationship ROI and adjust focus toward high‑yield partners.
- Lead and develop the Manager, Affiliate Partnerships.
- Own the strategy and performance of affiliate referral programs.
- Ensure consistent activation, engagement, and conversion of affiliate practices.
- Establish clear referral processes, expectations, and feedback loops.
- Track and report affiliate referral performance against defined goals.
- Ensure marketing initiatives directly support pipeline growth and affiliate referral objectives.
- Align messaging, campaigns, and materials with current studies, services, and growth priorities.
- Partner closely with Operations, Recruitment, and Study Startup teams to ensure growth efforts are operationally feasible and conversion‑ready.
- Participate in leadership forums to identify risks, capacity constraints, and growth opportunities.
