Accountant, Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Overview

Our client is a stable, well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Junior Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to general ledger accounting, inventory and cost accounting, month-end close, and corporate reporting in a structured, team-oriented environment. • Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory, payroll, and intercompany activity
• Support month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Complete intercompany reconciliations and related reporting
• Run and analyze AR, customer, and sales reports
• Review cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and production reporting
• Reconcile inventory valuation to the general ledger monthly
• Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory reserve calculations
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Track leases, prepaid expenses, and related accounting entries
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and support cash management activities
• Process ACH payments and review line of credit activity
• Reconcile payroll, PTO, and benefits-related accounts
• Support audits, internal controls, and corporate reporting requests
• Partner with inventory, AR, and operations teams
• Provide backup support for AR and inventory functions as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience (internships or early G/L exposure welcome)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and core accounting principles
• Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic formulas)
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar preferred)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with close deadlines

• Stable, predictable accounting environment (less cyclical than public accounting)
• Hands-on exposure to inventory, cost accounting, and corporate reporting
• Strong foundation for advancement into senior or cost accounting roles
