About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations for two manufacturing companies specializing in precision machining and cutting tool technology. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of driving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring schedule adherence across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex production environments and leading cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily production operations for both companies, ensuring output meets customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, balancing priorities across facilities.
- Monitor workflow, material availability, and machine utilization to prevent bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and lead Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, downtime, and cost.
- Lead and mentor production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Collaborate with procurement, quality, and engineering to resolve operational challenges.
- Provide weekly performance reports, KPIs, and schedule adherence metrics to leadership.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience:
Minimum 4 years in production management, preferably in aerospace or precision machining. - Strong knowledge of ISO/AS9100 compliance and quality systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple companies or departments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (E2 Job Boss, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with CNC machining and tooling operations.
- Financial acumen for cost control and ROI analysis.
