Job Duties

The primary purpose of the position is to oversee the administration and management of all planning, operations and fiscal management of the athletic ticket office. This position provides the leadership, professional expertise and discretion to direct the overall ticket operations at a high standard of excellence. This position performs its duties consistent with the goals and values of the department, division, and university and ensures compliance with NCAA, conference, university and governmental policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines applicable to the athletics ticket office operation.

This position is directly responsible for the evaluation of effectiveness of the unit operations which includes, but not limited to, business operations, customer sales and service and appropriate communication to all constituencies.

This individual will also develop, manage and execute a comprehensive ticket sales plan for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Focus will be on the generation of new ticket revenue, development and management of prospect lists, coordination of outbound ticket sales efforts including the creation of season ticket campaigns, group sales, and ticket promotions. In addition, this position will develop revenue forecasting reports.

This individual in this position must be able to think independently to interpret and communicate guidelines, policies, etc. to recognize, define and resolve standard and non-standard problems applying operating procedures, practices and established precedents. Resolve recurring issues and problems as well as unique situations. Additionally, this individual will be expected to understand and apply a variety of features in software programs, databases, information systems in the performance of their duties.

This position functions with independent interaction to build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with athletics, Pirate Club, university staff, students, and all constituencies and stakeholders on all levels, including face-to-face, phone, and electronic communications. Night and weekends work is expected in the performance of duties.

Minimum Education /Experience

Bachelor s degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

License or Certification Required

Preferred Experience , Skills, Training/Education

Master s Degree and 3 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics ticket operations or equivalent related experience preferred.
