Position Overview
The position calls for an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and who is excited about pursuing leads, learning as they go, and searching for opportunities that help our organization not just to grow, but to thrive.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is focused on deepening the impact and expanding the reach of Heart for ENC. This role will support the organization by working to develop strategic resources to impact nonprofit organizations, building strategic relationships and creating mutually beneficial partnerships across Eastern North Carolina communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Strengthen the relationship with our current partners, including facilitating, participating, and/or executing networking events and activities that help to maximize the organization’s exposure and reach.
- Work to build community partnerships and grow awareness of our work, seeking to deepen our local presence, broaden our reach and grow our potential impact.
- Assist the ED in developing and delivering educational resources and tools to impact the health of nonprofit organizations, collaborating with Mission Triangle and other market-based organizations on operational and strategic recommendations.
- Within the bounds of Heart for ENC’s strategic plan, work to cultivate contacts, develop a plan for identifying target areas of outreach that can help us identify strategic opportunities for growing Heart for ENC’s presence and impact in eastern NC.
- Share in the development of programs, events and future vision for our new Nonprofit Business Center.
- Work alongside the staff team to serve as a key point of contact for organizations that want to learn more about getting involved with Heart for ENC.
- Work alongside ED to grow implementation of best practices in nonprofits through coaching, consulting and facilitating a leaders’ cohort, looking to expand and deepen those areas of work.
- Work with ED and the Heart for ENC Board to identify fund development opportunities, by way of personal connections but also through outreach and appeal communications.
- Understand and agree with the mission, vision and values of Heart for ENC and demonstrate a passion for fulfilling those objectives in a highly relational organization.
- Demonstrates a commitment to embracing a community and faith-based culture.
- Demonstrated experience in the nonprofit sector (professional or volunteer).
- Strong communication skills, and a willingness to connect with new members of the community.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, requiring minimal direction for completing assignments and projects, especially in a developing role.
- Possesses the ability to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborative spirit inspired by working alongside established partners while also pursuing new partnership opportunities.
- High proficiency with fundraising databases/constituent relationship management systems (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite, and social media platforms.
- Event planning experience preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; editing experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional personal integrity, accountability, and commitment to results.
- STATUS:
Full-time role (40 hours per week) - WORK HOURS:
Somewhat flexible during our work week M-F 8am-5pm - PAY RANGE: $48, annually, depending on experience
