Position: Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacist I

Overview

The Infectious Diseases team provides expert clinical pharmacy services specializing in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. This role delivers direct patient care by optimizing antimicrobial therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement initiatives, and supporting education and research activities across the health system.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care by optimizing antimicrobial therapy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
  • Support education and research activities across the health system.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Pharm

    D degree, or equivalent from accredited school of pharmacy is required.
  • 2 years of relevant post-graduate clinical pharmacy experience, or PGY1 residency training (equal to 2 years of experience).
  • Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the NC Board of Pharmacy by start date.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Obtains continuing education credits as required by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Requirements
  • Board Certified Infectious Disease Pharmacist (BCIDP) certification preferred, or board eligible.
  • Infectious disease PGY2 training preferred.
Pay Range

$106745.60 - $155584.00
