Position Summary
Responsible for the disinfection, set-up calibration of life-support equipment between patients with a timely turnaround daily.
Responsible for ordering and stocking Respiratory supplies, forms and department stocked medications throughout the facility as needed. Keeps medical gas cylinders readily available for Respiratory Dept use.
Identifies and tags equipment that needs servicing by the Bio Medical Department.
Keeps department records for Quality Control, Safety and Infection Control including Cidex Log.
Prepares equipment being sent out for repair.
Keeps library of operator's manuals for all equipment available.
Keeps procedure manual updated on how to clean individual pieces of equipment.
Trains new employees in equipment room operations and processing.
Possesses effective communication skills (listening, speaking and writing), demonstrates positive attitude and professional image.
High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher
Zero to two years related experience
Experience working with machines, working as Sterilization Tech such as OR Tech or CS Tech.
Experience working with medical/ pharmaceutical / Healthcare equipment or currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner college degree program.
Minimum Requirements- High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher
- Zero to two years related experience
