We have immediate needs for Utility Inspectors in the Greenville, NC areas for our Transportation division. The successful candidates will support our current staff while assisting in growing the Construction Management and CEI practice to better service our clients statewide.
Job Responsibilities- Perform utility relocation verification activities in support of highway and bridge construction projects.
- Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and work safely in an outside environment.
- Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans.
- Prepare daily inspection reports.
- Perform measurement and documentation of completed work.
- Read and interpret utility relocation plans.
- Effectively communicate with project staff and clients, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic knowledge of computer and tablet (iPad) operation.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with utility installation/inspection or construction inspection.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Daily travel to project sites is required; night and weekend work may be required. Overnight travel may be necessary on a limited basis.
