A premier home appliance company is currently looking for a Quality Engineer in the greater Greenville, North Carolina area who can help make sure that their products meet compliance with company standards and customer specifications. For this job, the Quality Engineer must work on the Greenville plant floor of a high volume of diverse products in the manufacturing facility. He or she will help support continuous improvement projects and will be responsible for instituting corrective and preventative actions for quality issues that arise within the facility. The Quality Engineer will be troubleshooting a lot of equipment and processes in order to figure out why some products do not comply with customer specifications.

The Quality Engineer will be overseeing some technicians and will be reporting to the Quality Manager, who is also at the Greenville plant.

• The Quality Engineer will support a safe work environment and take a role in facility safety initiatives.
• For this job, the role must champion advanced product quality planning (APQP) strategies.
• The position must conduct quality audits on a regular basis.
• The Quality Engineer must quickly attempt to diagnose and rectify quality issues in the plant.
• The role must work to prevent quality problems from reoccurring.
• The position will support the facilitation of continuous improvement projects through engineering, quality, and technical support.
• The Quality Engineer must liaison with external departments in order to consistently meet quality specifications and customer demands.
• The role perform every duty satisfactorily in order to succeed.
• This position does not require any travel outside of Greenville, North Carolina.
• The Quality Engineer will conduct all duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required for this job.
• At least 2 years of quality planning experience is required for this job.
• Hands‑on work ethic and a desire to continuously improve and seek out issues on the manufacturing floor.
• Six sigma certification is a plus for this job.
