- Lead the planning and execution of all technical and engineering aspects of minor capital projects supporting production and facility needs.
- Own full accountability for delivering capital projects on scope, within budget, and on schedule.
- Ensure each project has a well‑defined scope and is planned, executed, and documented to deliver best‑in‑class service results, aligning all internal and external stakeholders on details and objectives.
- Manage and oversee capital projects from concept and design through implementation, commissioning, and qualification.
- Establish project teams, develop project strategies, create master schedules, and manage financial resources effectively.
- Identify potential risks to scope, budget, and schedule, and implement mitigation strategies, as needed.
- Verify accuracy of design documentation and act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for continuous improvement of plant record drawings.
- Prepare key project documentation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Risk Assessments, and Safety Assessments.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with design, construction, construction management, and qualification service providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Associate degree in engineering with at least 1 year of related experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Professional Engineer license or Six Sigma Black‑Belt training preferred.
- Experience in Capital Project Management, Facilities/Maintenance and/or Automation within manufacturing or process‑driven industries (pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor, food) preferred.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project), design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Understanding of safety and compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, EU regulations) and handling hazardous materials beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost estimation preferred.
- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients.
