The School of Social Work offers two academic degree programs, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work. The MSW program is among the highest enrollment graduate programs at ECU and is offered in‑person and online. Along with our degree programs we also offer Graduate Certificates in Substance Abuse and Gerontology and a pathway to state licensure in school social work.

Job Duties
The School of Social Work is seeking applicants for a 9‑month, full‑time, fixed‑term Teaching Instructor or Senior Teaching Instructor (non‑tenure) position to begin August 2026.
- Faculty responsibilities include teaching in the BSW and MSW programs (including in‑person and online courses, and on Saturdays), service to the profession, university, and community, and other duties as assigned.
