Applicants should have completed a psychiatry or obstetrics/gynecology residency as well as a reproductive or perinatal fellowship. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
The new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, opened December of 2025 and will service children/Adolescents through geriatrics.

- Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center and home to the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital, and at the nearby ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital
- Academic appointment with East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine
- Inpatient services include providing consults for the ECU Health Medical Center’s emergency department and behavioral health unit
- Outpatient services include care in ECU Health’s behavioral health and obstetrics gynecology clinics for perinatal patients
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule for both outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities
- Phone-only call coverage for nights and weekends
- Excellent blend of clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activities
- Ability to work with an expanding multi-disciplinary and collegial department including an ob/gyn addiction trained liaison and the ability to do consults, manage medication for labor and delivery and ob/gyn clinics
