Position: Perinatal/Reproductive Psychiatry Opportunity In Greenville, NC-Expanding Program

Overview

ECU Health Physicians and East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, located in Greenville, North Carolina, seek a BE/BC Perinatal /Reproductive Psychiatrist. Applicants should have completed a psychiatry or obstetrics/gynecology residency as well as a reproductive or perinatal fellowship. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

The new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, opened December of 2025 and will service children/Adolescents through geriatrics.

Highlights / Responsibilities
  • Employment by ECU Health Physicians
  • Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center and home to the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital, and at the nearby ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital
  • Academic appointment with East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine
  • Inpatient services include providing consults for the ECU Health Medical Center’s emergency department and behavioral health unit
  • Outpatient services include care in ECU Health’s behavioral health and obstetrics gynecology clinics for perinatal patients
  • Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule for both outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities
  • Phone-only call coverage for nights and weekends
  • Excellent blend of clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activities
  • Ability to work with an expanding multi-disciplinary and collegial department including an ob/gyn addiction trained liaison and the ability to do consults, manage medication for labor and delivery and ob/gyn clinics
