Overview
Position Details for Clerkship Coordinator in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. This role supports medical student instruction and coordinates clerkship activities, schedules, evaluations, and onboarding for visiting students.
Job DutiesThe Clerkship Coordinator (University Program Associate) is responsible for directing all levels of student programs in PM&R in collaboration with the Clerkship Director. Specific duties include:
- Facilitate instruction and coordinate components of the PM&R/Neuro clerkship, including managing the Master Excel spreadsheet for student grades and ensuring timely import of grade components.
- Collaborate with the Clerkship Director to develop grade components, ensure sufficient clinical evaluations, email faculty/residents for evaluations, and help prepare final grade comments for import with the final grade letter.
- Use Vidanovavle to create schedules, course events, and Webex meetings; maintain updates for Virtual and Clinical clerkship components.
- Work with Student Affairs on student schedules, drop/adds, absences, and related policies/procedures; participate in ongoing training to expand system knowledge.
- Support onboarding and ongoing contact with visiting medical students; act as the first point of contact and assist with forms required before and during visits.
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or CertificationNone
Preferred Experience , Skills, Training/EducationExperience working with medical students; familiarity with E-value system.
