Position Overview
Federal Work Study (On-Campus - Undergraduate Circulation Assistants) for Spring 2026 at ECU Joyner Library Services:
Circulation Department.
The Circulation Department is one of the busiest units within the library, and the first point-of-contact for many patrons. Students working in this department are expected to represent the library by providing exemplary customer service at the front desk.
Daily Responsibilities- Check in and out materials, answer questions, and assist patrons at the front desk.
- Assist in opening and closing duties for the department as needed.
- Assist with equipment inventory and cleaning projects.
- Perform any other special tasks necessary to assist in the day-to-day functions of the department.
The Circulation Department will be open Monday‑Thursday from 8:00 AM‑9:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM‑5:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM‑9:00 PM. Students are expected to work morning and/or afternoon shifts. Weekend availability will be prioritized.
