• the rn for the freedom behavioral program in greenville coordinates day-to-day patient care activities and maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accord with federal and state regulations. Provides direct patient care within the scope of the rn license.
• assumes the role of charge nurse as assigned and provides oversight to ancillary staff during the scheduled shift. Provides direct oversight to nursing staff in the absence of the nurse manager and communicates with the nm on relevant nursing care issues.
• participates in performance improvement through completion of assigned chart monitoring. Coordinates nursing care to patients within the scope of practice and in compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
• communicates with the medical staff on identified patient issues. Performs timely and accurate patient care assessments. Addresses patient care needs promptly. Documents findings into the medical record accurately and timely. Completes all admission paperwork and ensures admission and daily documentation are thoroughly completed, signed, and dated according to protocol.
• adheres to human resources policies regarding code of conduct and attendance. Follows infection control and employee health guidelines to ensure safety of patients and staff.
• actively works with the service development department of the freedom behavioral program in greenville to facilitate admissions into the facility in a timely manner. Maintains knowledge of admission criteria and documents admission criteria for new admissions. Functions as a member of the treatment team and communicates identified patient goals, interventions, and assessments.

• active registered nurse (rn) license.
