Patient Access Services - Scheduler

Overview

Delta Health System is seeking a Scheduler to complete a thorough and full patient registration via telephone contact with the patient, guarantor, or referring provider prior to the patients arriving for their outpatient clinic, testing or surgery appointment.

• Complete thorough patient registration via telephone contact with the patient, guarantor, or referring provider prior to the patient's arrival for outpatient clinic, testing, or surgery appointments.

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous clinical background preferred, such as Radiology Tech; preferred
• One or more years’ experience in a patient access role preferred
• Typing/computer skills necessary; a minimum of 35 wpm required
• Knowledge of Medical Insurance
• Excellent telephone etiquette/communication
• On the job training may be required after being hired, along with continuing educational requirements to maintain employment.
