Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend and holidays required

• Available for 36 or 48 hours per week

• Patient ratios: 6 patients during days, 6-7 patients during nights and weekends

• 12 hours of orientation provided

• Care for adults and geriatric patients in a 32-bed telemetry unit

• Primarily medical PCU patients with some overflow med/surg cases

• Common diagnoses include CHF, new onset Afib, COPD, and pneumonia

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Pennsylvania license or Compact license required

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Must be skilled in MS/Tele, phlebotomy, IV management, vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line care, wound care, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions

• Float within hospital when needed

• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed

• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
