Shift 3 (United States of America) Full time. Hiring Range: $21.01 - $23.68 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
Responsibilities- Follow standard work and operate hand-jack wheels to buff, texture, and polish faucet components that meet quality standards and production goals.
- Handle faucet parts carefully to avoid damage – “damage free.”
- Buff / texture all sizes and types of faucet parts using a high speed buffing wheel.
- Inspect parts and perform job according to standard work.
- Meet production and quality standards. Rack and un-rack parts. Collect data. Pull prints to verify print specifications.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Work safely while performing job duties.
- Complete hazard observations or observe unsafe actions and report both using Delta Faucet’s standard procedures.
- Perform housekeeping duties consistent with 5S and visual workplace standards.
- Accept / Reject parts to DS-500 specifications.
- Perform ERGO stretches.
- HS degree or HS equivalency diploma is recommended.
- Experience in manufacturing operations is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of safety practices, product quality, delivery, and productivity / cost are preferred.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability are necessary because of continuous improvement efforts.
- Ability to work independently or with limited supervision.
- Acceptable disciplinary performance – employees who have received a written warning are not eligible for promotions or transfers for a minimum of six months after receiving that warning.
- Acceptable attendance performance - employees who have six or more points are not eligible for promotions or transfers.
- A human performance evaluation (HPE) may be required to determine if an applicant can perform tasks related to skills critical for success on the job, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
The ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, Delta specifications, Standard Work Instructions, job instruction documents, and aspects of Delta’s MOS (Masco Operating System), SFM (Shop Floor Management) system, QMS (Quality Management System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply reason and understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to understand basic reports and daily business requirements.
Physical DemandsThe position requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers, and reaching with hands and arms. The person may be required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch and may lift up to 40 pounds. If returning to work after a period away, an evaluation may be required to ensure safety for resumed duties.
Work EnvironmentOccasionally exposed to moving equipment and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate to low. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
