Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. •
Salary Range: $42,935 – $47,705

- Plan, organize, control, and direct all aspects of required corrective and preventive maintenance for all campus housing.
- Performs semi‑skilled labor in trades such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Operates, repairs, and maintains various power and hand tools.
- Works individually or in teams; communicates effectively orally, in writing, or electronically.
- Handles frequently changing priorities and follows through on assignments.
- Applies problem‑solving skills and sound judgement.
- Provide customer service to students and staff.
- Responds to plumbing and all other facilities requests; requires working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and carpentry systems.
- Occasional overtime may be required, especially during the summer months (May – Aug) when buildings prepare for occupancy.
- Participates in the on‑call rotation after normal hours if required.
High School Diploma or equivalent – OR Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work

Experience in the trade areas related to the area of assignment may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Must have a valid NC Driver’s License.
Preferred QualificationsIf no applicants apply who meet the required competency level and training & experience requirements, then management may consider other applicants. Salary would be determined based on competencies, equity, budget, and market considerations.
