Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform repairs as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
  • Examine vehicles for safety or service work requirements.
  • Communicate with supervisors about additional work needed or delays.
  • Document all work performed and recommendations.
  • Road test vehicles as required.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and stay updated with technical bulletins.
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and shop organization.
  • Maintain dealership tools, manuals, and equipment responsibly.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and report safety issues immediately.
  • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or vocational/technical training preferred, or relevant experience in medium/heavy diesel maintenance.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean record; must pass background check, DOT physical, and ability tests.
    • Class A or B CDL license preferred.

    Physical requirements include:

    • Standing, walking, sitting, bending, feeling, fingering, grasping, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and lifting over 50 lbs.

    Salary: $15 - $45 per hour
