Commercial HVAC​/R Service Technician

Position Overview

Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician at Moore's Electrical & Mechanical. Located in the Greater Triad area, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of HVAC/R systems in commercial settings to ensure efficient operation and optimal performance for our clients.

• Service and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, meters, and gauges to analyze system performance and identify root causes.
• Develop effective solutions to resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions to clients in a clear and concise manner.
• Completes necessary paperwork with company issued laptop/tablet.
• Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Safely drive the company vehicle, following the company vehicle driving policy and all safety requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training in HVAC/R preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Service Technician focusing on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC/R systems.
• Universal EPA certification.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Solid understanding of electrical circuits and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, and other equipment to assess system performance and diagnose issues.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.

• Weekly paychecks – $25–$45/hr based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
