NETcom Cabling is looking for a dependable and detail‑oriented Commercial Fiber Optic Technician to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in fiber optic splicing, testing, and certification — delivering work that's both precise and efficient. • Perform fusion splicing of single fiber and ribbon fiber optic cables.
• Read and interpret OTDR test results and operate fiber optic certifiers with accuracy.
• Prep and splice cassettes and ribbon cable per project specifications.
• Conduct fiber terminations, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain detailed, accurate project documentation and labeling.
• Adhere to all company and industry safety standards and best practices.
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites, maintaining a professional appearance and conduct.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines and exceed quality expectations.

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience as a Commercial Fiber Optic Technician.
• Proficient in fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and certification processes.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clean background check required to obtain NC Alarm Registration.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided).
• BICSI and/or Corning Certifications are a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.

• Full‑Time:
  Monday to Friday
• Weekend or overtime work may be required based on project timelines.

• Based in Greensboro, NC
• Projects may require regional travel throughout the Southeast U.S. Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided for travel.
