Job Description- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, and other goals to meet or exceed expectations.
- Create pre‑call plans and execute post‑call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action to close on every sales call.
- Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between Abb Vie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments and dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise. Share this market intelligence with in‑field team, brand team and sales manager to align, anticipate environmental changes, challenges and optimize brand strategy and execution.
- Differentiate Abb Vie’s value proposition with healthcare providers, identify, develop, and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, business‑related field preferred or relevant, or equivalent industry experience.
- Equivalent industry experience: at least five (5) years of experience, with three (3) or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by relevant stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking, proficient use of business tools.
- Proactive identification of customer style/behavior and rapid adaptation of selling approach.
- Ability to develop sales strategies, offer innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities.
- Impactful contributions to the organization, anticipating and responding to changes, operating effectively in a matrix environment.
- Influential, credible, and respected role model, building collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix team.
- Leadership experience and support role at the district, region and/or organization level.
- Preferred:
Proven track record of sales performance within the respective therapeutic areas. Commercial pharmaceutical experience—including physician/account‑based selling, training, managed healthcare or marketing—preferred. - English language proficiency verbally and in writing.
- Satisfying all applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements, including background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting and specific licenses.
- The compensation range described is the range of possible base pay that Abb Vie believes in good faith it will pay for this role. Individual compensation will depend on many factors, including geographic location, and may ultimately be more or less than the posted range.
