Backroom Associate - Sam's Club (USA)
Base pay range: $18.00/hr – $25.00/hr
The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Position SummaryMaintains and processes shipments for the Club, develops and posts delivery schedules, compiles and organizes receiving reports, verifies merchandise counts, routes merchandise to proper locations, pays expenses, receives merchandise for the facility, organizes and maintains the receiving area, merchandises and completes required documentation, tracks and processes claims, returns damaged goods, handles liquidation merchandise, maintains and cleans the clearance area, utilizes technology for reporting, maintains safety of the facility, conducts safety sweeps, follows forklift spotting procedures, handles hazardous materials, reports unsafe situations, completes work assignments, collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers and partners, identifies priorities and deadlines, recommends improvement opportunities, adapts to change, and demonstrates internal values.
Responsibilities- Maintain and process shipments, develop and post delivery schedules.
- Compile and organize receiving reports, verify merchandise counts, route merchandise, pay expenses.
- Receive merchandise, organize and maintain the receiving area, follow procedures, utilize equipment.
- Merchandise appropriately and complete required documentation.
- Track and process claims, return damaged goods, handle liquidation merchandise, maintain and clean clearance area.
- Utilize technology for reporting and documentation.
- Maintain facility safety: follow standards, conduct sweeps, forklift spotting, handle hazardous materials.
- Report unsafe situations to facility management.
- Complete work assignments, collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners.
- Identify priorities, deadlines, communicate progress, recommend improvements.
- Demonstrate respect for individuality: embrace differences, build relationships, mentor others.
