OverviewWe are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This position offers an hourly wage with commission earnings based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Pay rate is $16.50 to $20.00 per hour.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager leads day-to-day store operations, partners with the Store Manager to develop staff, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The role sets a customer-centric tone and, alongside the Store Manager, analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met.
You will support asset protection and target new customer acquisitions. You will work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This role offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a store-performance bonus. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
- Manage store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and drive profitability through goal setting and communication.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development; communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge; act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, bending, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms; ability to become firearms certified.
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and standard office machines; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and business sense.

Commission Plan Information:
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Details provided during interview.
