Position SummaryThe Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the General Manager or Person In Charge (on duty) with management activities and duties. This role works with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure all activities are consistent with and supportive of the restaurant’s business plan. The Shift Leader also ensures all Crew Persons and Team Leaders perform their responsibilities and meet expectations across all areas of their job description.
EssentialFunctions
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience and/or education demonstrating knowledge of restaurant management.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Strong team-building skills.
- Investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot cash handling issues.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
- Effective communication methods, including a telephone or similar.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to implement process improvements.
Fast-paced environment involving kitchen equipment in tight spaces. Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, work around heat, lift 50-75 lbs., and work with various cleaning products.
