If so, the Quality Control Technician position at IHI Ionbond – Greensboro Coating Center could be your perfect match! Join our dynamic team, make a tangible impact, and report directly to the Quality Manager at our state-of-the-art local coating center.
- Inspects coated parts for coating thickness, coating adherence, surface finish, substrate & coating hardness, size, and appearance, records inspection information consistent with prescribed methods and procedures
- Conduct audits under supervision; control plan audits, product audits, 5S, HSE, QMS self-assessment and customer supplied audit forms
- Maintain a clean workstation; ensure it is functioning within required safety guidelines, and maintaining lab equipment
- Must be able to read and understand PFMEA and control plans
- Ensure that equipment in inspection area is calibrated and bring to attention of supervisor on any non-conforming condition
- Testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards.
- Perform SPC Audits to ensure consistency with prescribed SPC charts and recommends the disposition of and/or acceptable corrective action for nonconforming parts within established Quality Assurance guidelines
- Use precision measuring instruments and make precision inspection set‑ups

We are seeking a candidate with:High School Diploma/GED;
Associate Degree is the minimum education required
or related field experience is a plus!
At least two years of experience working in a quality lab setting performing QC and QA testing proceduresManufacturing environment is a plus!
Excel, Word, Outlook
Good organization, time management and detail orientedEffective communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Good dexterity skills, able to handle precision machined parts.
