North Elm Animal Hospital in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our busy, full-service small animal veterinary hospital. This Veterinary Assistant role is ideal for someone with strong clinical experience who is confident supporting exams, treatments, and surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of experience who is ready to step in, support the team, and provide excellent patient care from day one.

- Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Feel confident assisting with exams, treatments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced small animal veterinary hospital.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, technicians, and veterinarians.

- Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting client communication.
- Preparing patients for exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
- Administering medications as directed.
- Assisting with laboratory testing including blood, fecal, and urine samples.
- Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, kennels, and surgical tools.
- Monitoring post-operative patients and reporting changes.
- Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures.
- Educating pet parents on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Partnering with Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians to provide high-quality veterinary care.
