Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and prior experience in an emergency setting, including charge nurse responsibilities. This role involves managing a patient ratio of 1:4 with a combination of adult and pediatric care.
Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Conduct triage, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage IVs.
• Implement emergency protocols and assist with critical procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Prior charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic or similar charting systems.
• Valid nursing license in hand at the time of submission.
• Must pass the Pass/Fail EKG exam required by the facility.
