Overview

Summary: Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing duties. Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift and taking receiving product from the dock area and stocking it in the appropriate location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, boxes, products, or materials and transport load to designated area.
  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspection and notify appropriate personnel of malfunctions.
  • Perform additional job functions as requested by supervisor or manager.
  • Cross training required for pallet jack functions.
  • Reference RFS computer and/or appropriate computer printout to stock pallets.
  • Follow company's attendance policies and procedures.
  • Follow company's safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
