Position Summary

The HAF Division, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking a Manufacturing Specialty Technician who independently sets up and operates moderately complex manufacturing equipment requiring specialized skill or expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Independently set up and operate moderately complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Achieve proficiency on all types of equipment and setup within 60 days of hire.
  • Apply all aspects of inspection gages and train other employees.
  • Maintain a safe workplace via compliance with safety and procedures.
  • Produce product in a timely manner while following all Quality system requirements.
  • Complete all required paperwork within 30 days.
  • Train team members.
  • Lead Lean events and high-performance teams as required; train team on Lean methodology.
  • Participate in 5S activities per manager request.
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise; strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Work overtime when required, including weekends.
Qualifications
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; must read, write & understand English.
  • Physical Demands: stand; use hands; reach; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; lift up to 25 pounds, frequently 10 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong math skills – three‑digit addition and subtraction, multiple‑digit multiplication and division, converting fractions to decimals, and following conversion formulas.
  • Team‑environment ability, cultivating strong relationships, and demonstrating initiative.
  • Lead Lean events and high‑performance teams; train team members.
