Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Perform minor and major repairs to all production and facility related equipment including motors, pneumatic controls, conveyor systems, and various production machines.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
- Understand ISO 9001 requirements and the Olympic Quality Policy, and always follow work instructions and procedures as established by the policy.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and rectify machine, facility, and process problems.
- Complete machine preventative maintenance duties as scheduled.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment to determine corrective actions and repairs.
- Help maintain inventory control of parts and equipment.
- Work with other maintenance employees to learn more troubleshooting methods and skills.
- Keep the area neat, organized, and clean while following 5S principles as appropriate.
- Cross‑train in other positions as required.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.

QualificationsEducation & Experience:
Prefer two‑year technical training, associate’s degree or military training and five years experience.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions) in practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.
- Utilize electrical test equipment, meters, and scopes.
- Operate all shop equipment and tools.
- All hand tools are the employee’s responsibility.
- Sign out and be responsible for tools needed from the maintenance tool room.
Frequent standing, walking, manual handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Regularly lift up to 10 lb, frequently lift up to 25 lb, and occasionally lift up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentExposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, and vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
Work ScheduleStandard work hours are eight hours per day, five days per week on an assigned shift. Schedule may vary; overtime, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays may be required.
