Shop Maintenance Technician

We’re looking for a hands-on Sheet Metal Shop Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. If you enjoy troubleshooting, improving processes, and being the go-to technical resource on the shop floor, this role is for you.

• Be a safety champion
  , ensuring all assigned work areas operate with a proactive, safety-first mindset in full compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.

• Set up, operate, and maintain a wide range of fabrication equipment, including press brakes, shears, welders, rollers, plasma tables
  , and other shop machinery.

• Perform routine inspections to identify wear, defects, and maintenance needs—
  fixing issues before they become downtime
  .

• Communicate equipment concerns clearly and promptly so corrective action can be taken.

• Continuously evaluate shop processes and recommend improvements that enhance productivity, equipment performance, quality, and workforce utilization
  .

• Serve as a technical problem-solver
  , helping diagnose equipment issues and supporting shop employees with hands-on solutions.

• Maintain tools, parts, and supplies—keeping the shop organized, stocked, and ready.

• Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately and on time.

• Train on all shop equipment required for the role, including any additional training recommended by the EHS Manager.

• Previous sheet metal shop maintenance experience (required).

• Experience operating and maintaining shop equipment in a fabrication environment.

• Forklift and material handling experience;
  certification preferred
  .

• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience is a strong plus
  .

• A can-do, take-ownership attitude with a focus on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
