We’re looking for a hands-on Sheet Metal Shop Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. If you enjoy troubleshooting, improving processes, and being the go-to technical resource on the shop floor, this role is for you.
What You’ll DoBe a safety champion
, ensuring all assigned work areas operate with a proactive, safety-first mindset in full compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.Set up, operate, and maintain a wide range of fabrication equipment, including press brakes, shears, welders, rollers, plasma tables
, and other shop machinery.Perform routine inspections to identify wear, defects, and maintenance needs—
fixing issues before they become downtime
.Communicate equipment concerns clearly and promptly so corrective action can be taken.
Continuously evaluate shop processes and recommend improvements that enhance productivity, equipment performance, quality, and workforce utilization
.Serve as a technical problem-solver
, helping diagnose equipment issues and supporting shop employees with hands-on solutions.Maintain tools, parts, and supplies—keeping the shop organized, stocked, and ready.
Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
Train on all shop equipment required for the role, including any additional training recommended by the EHS Manager.
Previous sheet metal shop maintenance experience (required).
Experience operating and maintaining shop equipment in a fabrication environment.
Forklift and material handling experience;
certification preferred
.Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience is a strong plus
.A can-do, take-ownership attitude with a focus on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
