Position SummaryThe HAF Division, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Setup Operator to independently set up and operate various manufacturing equipment and investigate quality problems.
Responsibilities- Independently set up and operate various manufacturing equipment.
- Read blueprints and follow instructions.
- Produce product in a timely manner while following all Quality system requirements.
- Capable of proficiency on all types of equipment and setup of equipment within 60 days of hire.
- Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days.
- Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise, strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
- Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures.
- Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication; must be able to read, write & understand English. - Physical Demands:
Required to stand; use hands; reach; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 25 pounds; frequently lift up to 10 pounds. - Math skills – three-digit addition and subtraction, multiple digit multiplication and division; converting fractions to decimals.
- Teamwork and initiative; ability to train team members.
- Computer skills to efficiently complete assignments.
