Locally owned and operated company specializing in DOT inspections, tank testing, truck repair, and parts sales. We're known for our high standards, reliable service, and a team that knows trucks inside and out. We're growing and looking for a hands-on leader to manage our diesel maintenance operations.

We're seeking an experienced Diesel Maintenance Manager to oversee our Greensboro shop. This role is a mix of leadership, hands-on mechanical work, training, and customer interaction. You’ll manage a team of five (2 mechanics, 1 trainee, and 2 office staff), handle scheduling and workflow, ensure quality repairs, and help drive shop revenue through parts and service sales.

• Lead daily shop operations and oversee all repair and maintenance work
• Perform diagnostics and diesel repairs when needed
• Train and mentor mechanics and the trainee technician
• Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations
• Coordinate with office staff to streamline communication and scheduling
• Order parts and manage shop inventory
• Support service and parts sales by building relationships with customers
• Ensure excellent customer service and turnaround time

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic (required)
• Prior experience managing a shop or crew (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, brake systems, and DOT standards
• Able to step in and work on trucks when needed
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Sales or customer-facing experience in a service environment
• Must be reliable, motivated, and a team leader
