Monday – Thursday 6:15 am – 4:45 pm

THIS POSITION WILL BE REQUIRED TO SERVE ON AN ON‑CALL ROTATION AND WORK IN INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS.

• Assist with operation of a sewer cleaning truck performing preventative and emergency maintenance.
• Assume the operator role when the operator is absent.
• Perform heavy physical labor
  , including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, and stooping.
• Work in inclement weather and challenging field conditions.
• Serve on an on‑call rotation for emergency response.
• Assist with completing daily work logs, sanitary sewer overflow reports, and required documentation
  .
• Follow established safety procedures, operational standards, and City policies.
• The job is NON‑EXEMPT under FLSA.

This position requires reliability, physical endurance, attention to detail, and a strong respect for safety and teamwork.

• High School Diploma/GED
  • OR an equivalency of 3 years of education and 3 years of directly related experience in a construction environment.
• Valid Class B Driver’s License w/ tanker endorsement.
• Directly related commercial truck experience preferably in sewer cleaning, preventative and emergency maintenance.
• Experience with heavy lifting in an outdoor construction and maintenance environment.

• NC AWWA Grade 1 or Higher Collections Certification
• Experience Operating a Sewer Combo Cleaning Truck
