Legal Secretary
LHH is currently recruiting for a litigation team in Greensboro. The law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to support its attorneys in a fast‑paced practice. This role provides a strong opportunity for career advancement along with a competitive compensation package. Applicants should have a minimum of four years of litigation experience and a strong grasp of court rules, litigation procedures, and document management.
Job Responsibilities- Maintain well‑organized case files, including pleadings, discovery materials, and litigation correspondence.
- Create and update indexes for pleadings, discovery, and other critical case documents.
- Assemble exhibits, evidence, briefing materials, and appendices in preparation for filings and hearings.
- Collect, review, and organize case‑related information from multiple internal and external sources.
- Perform administrative tasks that support the daily workflow of the litigation team.
- File documents with state and federal courts, including through electronic filing platforms.
- Draft routine legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and professional correspondence.
- Assist with overall case progression, ensuring deadlines and schedules are closely monitored.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in cross‑training to ensure consistent coverage across the department.
- At least four years of hands‑on litigation experience, ideally in commercial or business matters.
- Strong familiarity with motions practice, discovery procedures, evidentiary rules, and court requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and thorough attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Proficient with legal software, electronic filing systems, and standard office technology.
