Data Engineering Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Manager to lead the continued development and optimization of our enterprise data environment. This role will focus on integrating data from multiple operational systems, improving reporting accuracy, and strengthening data governance across the organization.

The Data Engineering Manager will work closely with the VP of IT and business leaders to ensure data from ERP, sales, inventory, and labor systems is centralized, structured, and reliable. This is a working manager role ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable data solutions while remaining technically involved.

• Design, enhance, and maintain centralized data warehouse architecture
• Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines and transformation processes
• Integrate ERP and operational systems into a unified reporting environment
• Develop and maintain dimensional models to support analytics and reporting
• Partner with operations and finance teams to standardize business reporting
• Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across platforms
• Support BI tools and semantic layer development
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement scalable improvements
• Contribute to cloud data initiatives and future analytics capabilities

• 7–12 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics environments
• Experience building or maintaining centralized data warehouse solutions
• Strong SQL and data modeling expertise
• Experience integrating ERP or operational systems into reporting platforms
• Familiarity with BI tools and reporting frameworks
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, etc.)
• Prior experience leading small teams (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
