Senior IT Field Administrator - Systems and Apps

Contract or contract-to-hire opportunity with our client.

Position is ON-SITE - candidates must live within a commutable distance.

Local travel will be required approximately 1 day per week to local client sites - Lumberton, Burlington, and Asheboro.

The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience with IT issues across systems, networks, applications, cloud, and desktop.

• Design, implement, and support a new IT infrastructure alongside the current environment.
• Manage and maintain systems and network operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Macintosh, AWS, VPNs, AD, Hyper-V, Mac, and creative tools.
• Oversee firewall management, backup systems (including VEEAM), and security protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Provide on-site support with occasional travel (once per week) to regional locations in Central NC.

• Ideal senior generalist experience across desktop/ applications/ systems administration to address most field issues
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft 365, AWS, VPNs, Active Directory, and Hyper‑V.
• Must have experience in Mac device support - iOS, Addigy, Mac OS, and mobile device management
• Creative applications support - Adobe Creative tools - Strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of firewall configuration and management.
• Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions such as VEEAM.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a self‑starter and communicate well with all levels of the organization.
