Senior Database Administrator- Assistance

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is seeking a Senior Database Administrator in Greensboro, North Carolina. The qualified candidate will have 5-8 years of hands‑on experience in Postgre

SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
Relocation assistance will be offered for candidates who would be interested in relocating to Greensboro for this opportunity.

• Database Implementation and Support
• Lead and mentor the installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of Postgre
  
  SQL clusters (primary/replica, connection pooling) and MSSQL instances.
• Design and deploy schema objects (tables, views, functions/procedures), enforcing standards and code review gates.
• Define and enforce configuration baselines (e.g., Postgre
  
  SQL , , ; MSSQL memory caps, TempDB layout).

• 8–12 years of progressive experience administering Postgre
  
  SQL (mandatory) and MSSQL in production.
• Demonstrated ownership of HA/DR, performance tuning, and backup/recovery for large, mission‑critical systems.
• Experience with Babelfish for Postgre
  
  SQL for SQL Server migration use‑cases.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes operators (e.g., Crunchy Data PGO) and cloud object storage for backups.
• Scripting/automation using Bash, Power Shell, or Python; CI/CD/Git Ops practices.

• Microsoft (e.g., Azure/SQL) or equivalent (optional but preferred).
