SQL Server Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a SQL Server Developer to support database development and administration efforts within a rapidly growing organization in the technology industry. The SQL Server Developer role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong SQL expertise and hands‑on experience building, optimizing, and maintaining relational database environments.
The SQL Server Developer role is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to sit onsite in Greensboro, NC 1 - 2 weeks out of the month.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases to support application and business needs.
• Write, enhance, and troubleshoot T‑SQL, SQL, XML, and stored procedures for data processing and integration.
• Design and implement database structures using best practices for normalization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Support ETL and reporting workflows through tools such as SSIS, SSRS, or similar SQL Server technologies.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy, system performance, and application reliability.

• 3+ years of SQL Server database development and administration experience.
• Strong proficiency with T‑SQL, SQL, XML, and stored procedures.
• Experience with database design, normalization methods, and indexing strategies.
• Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, or other SQL Server‑based tools.

• $45.00 - $53.00 per hour
