Primary Unit: University Registrar's Office (URO). Primary purpose and organizational unit details reflect the mission of UNC Greensboro and the URO’s role in fostering student success related to academic records, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Enrollment System Leadership – Lead analyst for the Student module (Banner); ensure accuracy, reliability, and functionality of key academic systems including Banner and Degree Works. Analyze and test system updates, implement changes, create and maintain documentation, conduct research, and perform data analysis. Collaborate with URO staff, campus advisors, faculty, academic support teams, and ITS to ensure student records are accurate and aligned across systems.
  • Documentation and Training – Create and maintain documentation; develop training materials and provide end-user training on applications and reports developed within the URO.
  • Data and Reporting – Develop, document, and maintain applications and reports, including test plans and scripts (SQL); build targeted SQL queries to support data requests; review and validate reports produced by others to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Data Standards and Collaboration – Gather and analyze requirements; define and document data standards with data stewards; collaborate with ITS to design data blocks for campus-wide needs.
  • Support and Troubleshooting – Provide technical support, troubleshoot reporting issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions; follow development and release protocols with ITS for production changes.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or a related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree and some computer coursework from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of experience developing ad-hoc queries using SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Banner Student Experience and/or experience with Degree Works, Curriculum Inventory Management System, University Catalog publication, and curriculum structure.
  • One (1) year of experience in a Registrar’s Office or higher education administration setting.
