We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite end-user support in a corporate environment in Greensboro, NC
. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals while ensuring high levels of user satisfaction and productivity.
The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting Windows‑based enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite desktop and end‑user support, including PC troubleshooting and break/fix activities
- Perform service requests including adds, moves, and changes (IMACD) within defined SLAs
- Deliver onsite field support for installation, servicing, and repair of systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices (phones/tablets), and peripherals
- Resolve software issues related to Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Skype for Business, One Drive
, and other corporate applications - Support Microsoft patches, corporate software deployments, and Group Policy–related issues
- Build, reimage, and upgrade corporate‑issued PCs as needed to restore end‑user productivity
- Diagnose and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues
, including TCP/IP, VPN, wireless, and secure access technologies - Provide clear verbal and written communication to end users and IT teams regarding incident status and resolution
- Document incidents, solutions, and resolutions accurately in ticketing systems (English required)
- Assist with inventory management and asset tracking
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills with users at all levels of the organization
- 2–3 years of experience providing desktop support or end‑user IT support in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Hands‑on experience with PC imaging, reimaging, and hardware replacement
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, wireless)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical users
- Strong customer service mindset with active and empathetic listening skills
- Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments at scale
- Familiarity with corporate ticketing and asset management systems
