Summary
The Enrollment Support Analyst, reporting to the Associate Registrar for Policies and Operations, plays a critical role in managing and maintaining the University Registrar’s Office (URO) enrollment systems at UNC Greensboro. Serving as the lead analyst for the Student module (Banner), this position ensures the accuracy, reliability, and functionality of key academic systems, including Banner and Degree Works. Key responsibilities include analyzing and testing system updates, implementing changes, creating and maintaining documentation, conducting research, and performing data analysis.
The role requires close collaboration with the URO staff, campus advisors, faculty, academic support teams, and Information Technology Services (ITS) to ensure student academic records are accurate, consistent, and aligned across all systems and procedures. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex system processes into clear, effective practices that support the University’s academic mission.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree and some computer coursework from an regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of experience developing ad‑hoc queries using SQL.

- One (1) year of experience in a Registrar’s Office or higher education administration setting.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks Application Solutions and System Data Analysis- Develop, document, and maintain applications and reports, including test plans and scripts (SQL), to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with standards.
- Build targeted SQL queries to support data requests from the student information system.
- Review, validate, and test reports created by other writers to uphold quality and consistency.
- Gather and analyze requirements for applications and reports; collaborate with ITS to design and implement data blocks that serve campus‑wide needs.
- Partner with data stewards to define and document data standards for clear, accurate presentation.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot reporting issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Work with the University Registrar’s Office and ITS to follow established development and release protocols for production changes.
- Create and update training materials, and provide end‑user training on applications and reports developed within the University Registrar’s Office.
- Develop and implement technology solutions to improve University Registrar’s Office operations, ensuring feasibility and alignment with organizational needs.
