SAP BO​/BI Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SAP BO/BI Administrator to own the lifecycle management of the SAP Business Objects/Business Intelligence platform.

This role involves installation, configuration, patching, security, monitoring, and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to maintain reliable and performant BI services.

• Platform Administration:
  Install, configure, patch, and upgrade BO/BI servers; manage server groups, nodes, clusters; administer CMC and BI Launchpad; enforce platform security and folder/project structures.
• User & Content Management:
  Provision users and groups; set granular permissions; manage universes, connections (DSN/TNS), and schedules; promote content across Dev/QA/Prod environments with proper approvals.
• Operations & Performance:
  Monitor services, jobs, and instances; analyze logs; tune platform and database connections for throughput and stability; support OS/DB patch windows.
• Disaster Recovery (DR):
  Design and maintain DR runbooks; define and validate RPO/RTO; implement backup/restore of CMS DB & Input/Output FRS; configure failover/failback; lead DR drills and audit readiness.
• Migration & Regression:
  Lead content migrations, including large-scale waves; manage inventory, movement, and regression validation.
• Cross-Platform
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Work with Windows/Linux admins and DB teams; coordinate release/change windows; communicate outages and status updates clearly to stakeholders.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 12+ years in SAP BO/BI administration.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BO/BI 4.3 (SPs) and readiness for BI 2025.
• Expertise in CMC, BI Launchpad, server clustering, scheduling, promotions, and security.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL/MySQL).
• Understanding of views, stored procedures, query tuning, and connection pooling.
• DR & HA:
  Practical experience creating DR plans, backups, recovery procedures, and executing DR tests.
• OS & Infrastructure:
  Working knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration for BO services.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and incident management skills.

• Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI administration (licensing, site/workspace setup, access governance).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
